Dr Josh Glass has been in practice since 2001.
His successful care of athletes is based upon his life-long
background in sports and his academic and chiropractic education.
Road races and youth track in the mid 1980’s in East
Cobb led to being an All-Region Cross-Country and Track athlete
and team captain at Wheeler High School. He went on to compete
for the varsity cross-country and track teams at the University
of Georgia from 1991 – 1996. At UGA, Josh was a varsity
letterman, cross-country team captain and received academic
All-Conference honors. At UGA, his academic emphasis was exercise
physiology and biomechanics, graduating with a B. Ed in Exercise
Science in 1996. Josh received his Doctorate in Chiropractic,
Cum Laude, from Life Chiropractic College in 2001. Josh also
completed a lengthy internship in sports chiropractic during
his undergraduate and graduate studies from his father, Dr.
Hank Glass. Since finishing his collegiate athletic career,
Josh has continued to compete in road races and added road/mountain
biking, adventure racing, snow boarding, duathlons and triathlons
to his pursuits.
Georgia Sports Chiropractic opened its doors
to athletes in 1991 with a goal that has remained constant:
To help injured athletes get healthy and keep them that way.
To accomplish this goal, each athlete’s structural biomechanics
are analyzed and then compared to the biomechanical demands
of their sport. In this format, each athlete is treated and
given a specific recovery/rehabilitation plan that makes sense
for them and their training program. Consideration is also
given to the daily demands and postural ergonomics that can
be contributing factors. The end result is recovery for injuries
quicker and having a plan in place to prevent future occurrence
and stay at peak performance in their respective sport. Most
major insurance companies are in- network.

tennis. In addition to sports massage, we also work with people
who have an interest in pain management and rehabilitation.
Our therapists specialize in correcting soft
tissue injuries caused by overuse syndromes or structural
imbalances which compromise musculo-tendonis integrity. It
is our goal to provide massage that helps create the ideal
environment for the body to heal itself. Our therapists incorporate
different techniques designed to increase circulation, improve
tendon gliding, reduce recovery time, and increase muscle
and joint range of motion (i.e. flexibility). Consequently,
sports massage therapy can not only alleviate pain suffered
from injury, but also lessen or prevent injury occurrence.
Athletes of ALL levels should include sports massage into
