Race #7 - Aquathon/Picnic, Cumming - June 17
The Aquathlon will start at 10 AM with a picnic afterwards that's
free to club
members and their family. This gathering will serve as out All
Club Meeting for the season, so if you wish to have a say
in the workings of Tri-Atl, be there! The workout will be a 1000
meter swim and a 5k run.
Race #8 - Sprint Triathlon, Clarks Bridge Park
- July 8
At Clarks Bridge Park near Gainesville. We'll start at 8 AM and
have a 400 meter swim, a hilly 18-mile bike and a 3-mile run.
Race #9 - 3 Gap Time Trial, Dahlonega - August
20
We'll start at 8 AM this year from Turners Corner. This as a 35-mile
route with 3 significant climbs totaling 6,300' of elevation gain
(and loss!)
Race #10 - Half Marathon Trail Run, Chattahoochee
River - Nov. 11
Meet at the kayak parking lot at Powers Ferry for a 9 AM start.
This is an off-road run with roots, rocks and hills...may even get
your feet wet!

2004 Series Results.
This is the sixth year for the Tri-Atlanta race series. The purpose
of these races is to provide club members a unique meeting place
for social and training activities. First timers are encouraged
to participate!
- Race entry is FREE to Tri-Atlanta Club members.
- All participants must pay any venue charges, i.e. pool, park
fees.
- Race waivers must be read and signed by all participants during
registration.
- All current USAT rules will apply.
- Post-race refreshments will be offered.
Eligibility for Race Series Awards requires:
- Directing or working as a volunteer in at least one event. Another
adult may volunteer for you to satisfy this requirement but this
does not earn you points.
- Participation in at least 50% of the events (volunteering or
directing also counts as an event).
- In the event of a tie, actual race points will overrule volunteer
points
Race Series Scoring System:
1st: 150 points
2nd: 135 points
3rd: 120 points |
4th: 110 points
5th: 100 points
6th: 90 points |
7th: 80 points
8th: 70 points
9th: 60 points |
10th: 50 points
11th: 40 points
12th: 30 points |
Event Director: 125 points Volunteer:
50 points Participation: 20 points
- Race Directors may earn a maximum of 200 points for the season:
125 the 1st race and 75 the 2nd. A maximum
of 150 volunteer points can be earned based on: 50 the 1st
race, 40 the 2nd, 30 the 3rd, 20 the 4thand
10 the 5th. This is for those members unable to race
due to injuries, etc.
- A maximum of 150 points can be earned per event. This applies
to a situation where the Director or a volunteer is also able
to compete in an event.
- Participants age as of December 31 determines Open or Masters
group for the season.
- Awards will be given to the Overall Male and Female points leader
and the first three places in Male and Female age groups at the
end-of-the season awards ceremony
